About

DianeDiane Ottinger characterizes herself as an old-time artist with a modern  view.  Diane believes that it has taken many years  to truly find  herself.  In kindergarten, Diane recalls that her teacher admired and encouraged her free expression in drawings and never forced her to “stay within the lines”.  Diane believes that she received her artistic ability from her mother, who hobbied in song and poem writing, children’s literature, sculpting and drawing, and played the guitar and piano.

Diane currently is a volunteer instructor in theater set design at Ames Visual and Performing Arts School and is often seen doing various volunteer efforts in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood, where she was born and has lived ever since.

Diane has always been encouraged by family, friends, and mentors to do something with her art.  This website is a chance for Diane to do just that.  Take a chance to view Diane’s latest creations and stay tuned for what’s next.
